Support the Future of MARJCC’s Aquatics Center!
Together, we can transform this complex into a hub of safety, health, learning, and inspiration for thousands of families.
Drowning Prevention Starts with Swim Lessons
Florida has the highest child drowning rate in the U.S., with children aged 1–4 experiencing the highest rates of drowning, but swim lessons reduce the risk by 88%.
Given these statistics, it’s crucial to prioritize water safety education. Early swim lessons can provide children with essential skills and confidence in the water, potentially saving lives.
For years, the aquatic center at MAR JCC has been a cornerstone of the community, positively impacting lives through its swim programs.

Our existing pools are facing increasing operational challenges due to aging infrastructure, making renovations essential to ensure long-term sustainability.
Rising maintenance costs, inefficient circulation and ventilation systems, and general wear and tear are placing a growing strain on resources. Without necessary upgrades, the facility will require more frequent and costly repairs, impacting overall efficiency and user experience.
With your support, we can modernize key areas, reduce ongoing maintenance expenses, and enhance the overall quality of the facility—ensuring it remains a thriving space for our community.

Thanks to the generous donation of $5M from Alex Blavatnik, a respected member of JCC, friend, and SwimRight Masters swimmer, we are significantly closer to reaching our goal.
“I’m incredibly proud to be a member of our amazing community – one of the largest and most impactful JCC around. I believe that our true power lies in the unity of our collective efforts.
I invite you to join me in supporting the Michael-Ann Russell JCC today, so it can rebuild its swimming complex.
This space, home to Lenny Krayzelburg’s SwimRight Academy, has already taught over 40,000 children essential water safety skills and built their confidence in the water.
We are just $3 million away from completing this project and creating a world-class facility for future generations.
Together, we can make a significant impact by building a unique aquatic center in Aventura. This center will not only reduce drowning rates but also foster healthy, self-confident children who may become future champions.”
